Is your Mindset limiting your potential?
Mindset determines everything.
Robbin’s laid out a great visual to talk about this.
He said have you ever seen a mad person happy? Have you ever seen a happy person mad?
Happiness is just a state and if happiness is then a lot of other things are too!
Tony Says: “Your mind wasn’t created to make you happy, that’s your job.”
It’s our job to facilitate that, and it’s our job to create that mindset.
As we move forward to talk about mindset and crushing average, it’s important to think about where you are right now. You are exactly the person you are supposed to be based on what you have done but…
…here is the truth:
You can be exactly who you want to be based on what you do right now.
You have to truly believe in that.
The reality is that things get tough, life happens, and you have to make a choice: to do tough things now for glory later or do the easy thing now to suffer later.
If you do the things you ought to do–when you ought to do them–the day will come when you can do the things you want to do–when you want to do them!
Life happens, we react instead of respond, we see things in a different way, we don’t know what to do. We can change our mindset. If someone came to you this morning, and took a baseball bat and smashed the headlights on your car, and you walked out to it, would you be mad?
If someone gave you a check for a million dollars, just because you were you, do you think that would alter your mood today?
See, it’s all about mindset.
When you’re at your work, or your job, whatever you do, you hear so many times people talking about:
“If only, if only, if only I got this, then I would be able to do this better. This is just not what I’m cut out to do.”
Excuses on why performance hasn’t been good, or why you can’t get a job done are just that, a mindset.
I’ll leave you with this:
Your mindset has determined where you are, and your mindset will determine where you’re going; if you can change that mindset, you can be exactly who you want to be.
You can do exactly the things you want to do, and you can have everything you’ve ever wanted once you find that, once you find that catastrophic value that’s going to add so much good to the world. You’re going to see that when you serve others with your value, you get the ultimate reward.
